Description Arvid Requate univentionstaff 2021-10-19 15:21:02 CEST
The AD-Connector maps "Domänencomputer" to "Windows Hosts". That's a historical artefact and confusing for customers and in support cases.

This group is the default group for new computer objects:

univentionDefaultComputerGroup: cn=Windows Hosts,cn=groups,...

To be exact:

1. The AD-Connector maps "Domänencomputer" to "Windows Hosts" via mapping table during group object sync *and* "Windows Hosts" is on connector/ad/mapping/group/ignorelist, so it is effectively ignored.

2. When a "windowscomputer" is synchronized from AD to UCS, the connector doesn't actually map anything related to group membership (or primary group). In that case the udm used the default group.
