When using IPP everywhere, CUPS may print many more copies than desired.
In the attached ticket, the squared number of copies was printed. Instead of 36 pages (18 copies of a 2-sided document), 648 (2*18*18) pages were passed to the printer.

This bug has already been fixed in CUPS with v2.3b6:
