This is not so easy: While the installed_size for each package is available, some apps do more than that. UCS@school: While ucs-school-umc-installer is small, the app (when used) is not. The installed size might be technically correct, the user still has to provide more space than what is given UCC: The image is downloaded in postinst and significantly increases "actual size" (!= "theoretical size") Some apps may build a database, pre-compile templates, etc. I am not sure whether the sum of debian package sizes is a reasonable number to present to the user. If we do this, we should present the "actual size" which cannot be determined reliably. I could think of a "InstalledSize=200" in the ini file. Yes, the size should be configurable via ini file. This issue has been filled against UCS 4.1. The maintenance with bug and security fixes for UCS 4.1 has ended on 5st of April 2018. Customers still on UCS 4.1 are encouraged to update to UCS 4.3. Please contact your partner or Univention for any questions. If this issue still occurs in newer UCS versions, please use "Clone this bug" or simply reopen the issue. In this case please provide detailed information on how this issue is affecting you. |
