Univention Bugzilla – Bug 34345
libgd2: Multiple issues (3.2)
Last modified: 2019-04-11 19:24:51 CEST
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #34344 +++ CVE-2014-2497 NULL pointer dereference in the gdImageCreateFromXpm() function.
CVE-2014-9709 Potential crash of long running service due to buffer read overflow in gd_gif_in.c when reading crafted GIFs.
Fixed in upstream Debian package version 2.0.36~rc1~dfsg-5+deb6u1
The wheezy version 2.0.36~rc1~dfsg-6.1+deb7u3 might contain additional patches: * Fixed memory overrun bug in gdImageScaleTwoPass (CVE-2013-7456) * Stack consumption vulnerability in GD in PHP before 5.6.12 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted imagefilltoborder call. (CVE-2015-8874) * The gdImageScaleTwoPass function in gd_interpolation.c in the GD Graphics Library (aka libgd) before 2.2.0, as used in PHP before 5.6.12, uses inconsistent allocate and free approaches, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a crafted call, as demonstrated by a call to the PHP imagescale function. (CVE-2015-8877) In Debian libgd2 is used by php5.
* Integer Overflow in _gd2GetHeader() resulting in heap overflow. (CVE-2016-5766) For Debian 7 "Wheezy", these problems have been fixed in version 2.0.36~rc1~dfsg-6.1+deb7u4.
Upstream Debian Wheezy package version 2.0.36~rc1~dfsg-6.1+deb7u5 fixes * Global out-of-bounds read when encoding gif from malformed gd2 input (CVE-2016-6161) Upstream Debian Wheezy package version 2.0.36~rc1~dfsg-6.1+deb7u6 fixes * invalid read in gdImageCreateFromTiffPtr() (CVE-2016-6911) * Stack Buffer Overflow in GD dynamicGetbuf (CVE-2016-8670)
