We should point out in the manual that only the domain Administrator account can upload printer drivers to Samba4 DCs currently.

A different issue applies to Memberservers (Bug #26712) but there is a workaround for that.

Ticket #2015010921000254 reports an access problem for members of the printer-admins" group when uploading printer drivers from a windows client. Looks like something tries to access files below /var/lib/samba/private/sam.ldb.d/, maybe that's triggered automatically, unspecific of the driver upload

This bug hasn't seen any update for several years. I close it.

If you still see a need for it, you can reopen the bug. Please add an argumentation about why it's important to take care of it.
