Univention Bugzilla – Bug 38643
Create default.v4/v5 profile directories for Windows Clients
Last modified: 2015-06-17 18:14:43 CEST
Apparently recent Windows client Versions look for a different default profile path: Windows 8.1: default.V4 Windows 10: default.V5 This should be checked (what about .V3?) and the directories should be created. See Bug #27373 Comment 1 for this. +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #27373 +++ +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #27372 +++ Nach dem Anlegen eines UCS@school Benutzers bekommt dieser ein temporäres Profil. Nach der zweiten Anmeldung wird das globale Profil verwendet. In UCS@school 3 wird als Windows Profil Pfad default und default.V2 verwendet. Diese sollten angelegt werden.
An adjusted version has been built in errata4.0-2. Advisories: * 2015-06-02-univention-samba.yaml * 2015-06-02-univention-samba4.yaml
The directories are created but i can't see UCS 4.0-2 master (s4) and a user with profilePath: \\master\test1\windows-profiles\default * win8.1 -> profile goes to default.V2 (expected default.V4) * win10 (preview) -> roaming profiles don't work at all (expected default.V5) UCS master: krus fbotner_master-80 win 8.1: isala fbotner_win8.1-64-61 win 10: isala fbotner_win10-64-63
(In reply to Felix Botner from comment #2) > The directories are created but i can't see > > UCS 4.0-2 master (s4) and a user with profilePath: > \\master\test1\windows-profiles\default > > * win8.1 -> profile goes to default.V2 (expected default.V4) works, but the appropriate hotfix has to be installed > * win10 (preview) -> roaming profiles don't work at all (expected > default.V5) works, but only if homeDrive and homeDirectory are NOT set, see bug #38647 directories default.V2 3 4 5 are created OK - 2015-06-02-univention-samba4.yaml OK - 2015-06-02-univention-samba.yaml
seems to me that the windows clients create the profile directory themselves, so im not sure if the is really necessary ...
