Description Nico Stöckigt univentionstaff 2016-08-16 15:39:07 CEST
After installing UCS 4.1-0 RC, joining a UCS-Domain and auto-updating to 4.1-3 it looks like the reboot never happens, instead the Appliance-Dialog appears again.

What exactly happened?
o Install virtual Host (Backup) from UCS 4.1-0 RC ISO image
o Autojoin after Setup
o Autoupdate after Setup
o Setup finished successfully
o typed 'reboot' into ssh-console (just to be sure!)
o Appliance-Dialog appears

After all the Setup looks quite alright, Domain-Join was successfull, ldapsearch works, no anomalies in logs.

Comment 1 Nico Stöckigt univentionstaff 2016-08-16 15:41:47 CEST
When trying to reboot the following message is shown:

root@backup:~# reboot
WARNING: could not determine runlevel - doing soft reboot
(it's better to use shutdown instead of reboot from the command line)
shutdown: /run/initctl: No such file or directory
init: /run/initctl: No such file or directory
Comment 2 Alexander Kläser univentionstaff 2016-09-05 11:10:38 CEST
Various aspects have been improved w.r.t. updating during setup, cf. Bug 42095. I would expect this behavior to be resolved. Please check with final 4.1-x ISO images.
