Es gibt ein Python-Modul für IPv4 / IPv6 - Manipulationen:
http://code.google.com/p/ipaddr-py/
Lizenz: Apache License 2.0

Es ist ziemlich nützlich für eine Menge IP-Operationen, vor allem auch im Zusammenhang mit IPv6, wird vermutlich Bestandteil von Python 3.x.
Die Version 2.0.0 enthält noch Bugs, die im SVN aber bereits gefixet sind.

Python im scope mit dem Modul gepatcht, wird zur zur Zeit von univention-directory-manager-modules im sope genutzt.

In Squeeze ist bereits python-ipcalc enthalten, welches jetzt in UCS3 verwendet wird.

univention-base-packages hängt von python-ipaddr ab, da es von einigen Programmen verwendet wird.

UCS 3.0-0 wurde veröffentlicht. Sollte der hier beschriebene Bug mit einer
neueren Version von UCS erneut auftreten, so sollte dieser Bug dupliziert
werden: "Clone This Bug"
