Ein aktuelles Samba4 Alpha sollte getestet werden (z.B. http://samba.org/samba/ftp/samba4/samba-4.0.0alpha10.tar.gz). Ein Debian Paket kann angelehnt an die Anleitung http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/Debian erzeugt werden.
Test-Scope ist ucs_2.3-0-samba4.

Der Patch "tp3-ldap.patch" von Martin Kuehl (Samba4 Schema in OpenLDAP laden)

Samba4 Alpha13 ist im Release-Scope ucs_2.4-0-samba4 gebaut.
Dazu wurde aus dem Tar-Ball ucd dem debian-Verzeichnis aus dem existierenden Debian-Paket ein neues Debian-Quellpaket samba4_4.0.0~alpha13-0 erstellt.
Die Abhängigkeit auf eine sehr aktuelle heimdal-Version wurde per Patch entfernt und ein Linker-Flag (--as-needed) wurde in debian/rules ebenfalls per Patch auskommentiert, da mit dem Flag libgensec.so nicht korrekt gegen libdcerpc gelinkt wird. Zusätzlich wird das Paket python-samba per Patch in python-samba4 umbenannt, um eine Kollision mit dem gleichnamigen Paket aus samba3 zu vermeiden.
