DHCP bietet die Möglichkeit zusätzliche Informationen bei Anfragen von Clients mittels  DHCPINFORM zu übertragen. Dies wird beispielsweise für das Übertragen von LDAP-Servers oder auch für WPAD verwendet.

Dafür sind zwei Dinge notwendig:

- In der lokalen DHCPd Konfiguration müssen Optionen definiert werden können (Zuordnung von Name zu Nummer und Syntax)

- In den UDM-Modulen DHCP-Service, DHCP-Server, DHCP-Subnet müssen die Optionen setzbar sein.
