Die Images haben ein initiales root-Passwort, das auf allen Systemen identisch ist. Es muss eine einfache Möglichkeit geben, das root-Passwort auf einem System zu setzen, das über ein Image installiert wurde.

Wird auf einem System ein vom Image-Standard abweichendes Passwort gesetzt, sollte der Hash in der /config-Partition gespeichert werden, damit er über Updates hinweg persistent bleibt.
