Currently the login with an expired password at UMC is not possible. The user gets the message, that the authentication has failed. The auth.log reports:

Feb 17 20:20:41 master python2.6: pam_unix(univention-management-console:account): expired password for user teacher1 (password aged)
Feb 17 20:20:41 master python2.6: pam_unix(univention-management-console:account): conversation failed

The user has no idea why the login failed (even if the password is correct).
The user has no chance to change its password via the UMC password module (modself). A password change via windows client should be possible.

This bug occurred in UCS@school if a teacher password has been reset by a school admin. By default in UCS@school the checkbox "user has to change password on next login" is activated for student/teacher password reset.
