Description Ingo Steuwer univentionstaff 2013-03-07 11:55:24 CET
The logout-icon in UMC looks like a "power-off"-button -- one might think the server will be shut down using this link.

I think it is more common to have a "logout"-option in the user settings menu (like on google+. linkedin or facebook).

We could also use an icon with a an open door.

direct feedback out of a customer meeting: "I didn't want to use that button because I was afraid to switch-off the server"

-> increase priority

That's a good idea.

Interesting. Maybe the context with a server is different? I observed that this icon is commonly used for logout on multiple websites.

I think an icon having "Logout" written on it would be the best solution. It's a termin which is used as tech terminology, so it's fine for German and English and it's way more clear than any possible picture icon.

Icon has been changed with 3.2 to a door symbol.
