Description Sönke Schwardt-Krummrich univentionstaff 2013-04-08 17:58:01 CEST
A customer reported that his users ofter fail to use their initial password that has been created by the import scripts. Two main reasons have been discovered:

1) The character set that is used for generating passwords contains some characters that look very similar (depending on the font).
Examples: "O" vs "0" and "I" vs "l" vs "1"
Suggestion is to remove these characters from password character set (and if neccessary, increase the password length to compensate complexity).

2) Users have difficulties to enter special characters (like "[", "]") by simply not knowing which buttons have to be pressed.

We should consider this request when we create the new import.

There is a Customer ID set so I set the flag "School Customer affected".

This is quite a problem. Had two customers complain about the generated passwords that are much too hard to type and remember for students.
