Description Felix Botner univentionstaff 2013-06-18 15:26:15 CEST
We need a way to "hide" UDM attributes (e.g. setQuota) or modules (e.g. policies/print_quota.py) if a special domain service is not registered (e.g. PrintQuota)
Comment 1 Alexander Kläser univentionstaff 2013-06-25 18:16:09 CEST
Would it not be more appropriate to ship extended attributes along with software packages containing additional services than finding a way to hide existing (but not usable) properties?

Yes, that would be the "right way", but we need something "simple", something that does not require the restructuring of multiple packages, new join scripts, modification of udm modules and so on and so forth

I think the effort (implementation, testing) to modify the existing udm modules according to the "right way" is too big.

Also, it is totally sufficient to be able to hide things in the UMC (not in the UDM)

This issue has been filed against UCS 3. UCS 3 is out of the normal maintenance and many UCS components have vastly changed in UCS 4.

If this issue is still valid, please change the version to a newer UCS version otherwise this issue will be automatically closed in the next weeks.

This issue has been filed against UCS 3.1.

UCS 3.1 is out of maintenance and many UCS components have vastly changed in later releases. Thus, this issue is now being closed.

If this issue still occurs in newer UCS versions, please use "Clone this bug" or reopen this issue. In this case please provide detailed information on how this issue is affecting you.
