A Samba4 KDC currently cannot issue tickets for non-samba4 DCs. It cannot find the servicePrincipalName in its Samba4 Heimdal backend because the S4 Connector only synchronizes UCS domaincontroller machine accounts that offer univentionService="Samba 4".

In UCS@school e.g. a client joined to a UCS@school Samba4 slave PDC cannot obtain a ticket for the UCS DC Master if the Master does not have Samba4 installed.

This issue has been filed against UCS 3.1.

UCS 3.1 is out of maintenance and many UCS components have vastly changed in later releases. Thus, this issue is now being closed.

If this issue still occurs in newer UCS versions, please reopen.
