Univention Bugzilla – Bug 32952
Review/unify package installation instructions
Last modified: 2015-04-01 13:47:45 CEST
There are various places in the manual where the documentation of additional UCS software is mentioned, sometimes referring to the installer, sometimes to simply the package name and sometime to univention-install. This should be unified so that - the standard, recommended method of subsequent package installations is the "UCS components" section of the App Center (if applicable) - the package name is briefly mentioned for command line users (along with a reference to the univention-install chapter)
All installation instructions for UCS components now refer to the App Center -> revision 45908
the package univention-virtual-machine-manager-schema needs to be installed on the &ucsMaster; beforehand. This is only the first part. After that, univention-virtual-machine-manager-schema needs to be installed on each and every &ucsBackup; On the other hand: univention-virtual-machine-manager-schema is installed on a Master and a Backup by default AFAICS. I would either add a sentence (about the backups) or remove it completely.

The schema package is recommended by univenton-ldap-server, so I've removed the sentence.
Ok
