... and "dry_run" when installing/updating apps may run into a timeout because of this. Add some kind of long polling!

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #33035 +++

... if a lot of components are registered. UMC commands that change ucr variables related to these files may even run into a timeout.

We should try to speed up the commit.

We should change at least the following things.

- don't recreate  /etc/apt/sources.list.d/15_ucs-online-version.list while setting components:

root@master211:~# ucr set repository/online/component/xrdp=yes repository/online/component/xrdp/server=$(hostname -f)
Setting repository/online/component/xrdp
Setting repository/online/component/xrdp/server
File: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/20_ucs-online-component.list
File: /etc/apt/mirror.list
File: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/15_ucs-online-version.list

- maybe the app center can use a temporary sources list in dry_run mode

How long does the commit take in the problematic cases?

That was a problem solved with the N threads bug: Bug #32935

This issue has been filled against UCS 4.1. The maintenance with bug and security fixes for UCS 4.1 has ended on 5st of April 2018.

Customers still on UCS 4.1 are encouraged to update to UCS 4.3. Please contact
your partner or Univention for any questions.

If this issue still occurs in newer UCS versions, please use "Clone this bug" or simply reopen the issue. In this case please provide detailed information on how this issue is affecting you.
