Description Michel Smidt 2014-02-04 09:02:48 CET
Maybe related to Bug 21767

- Created a virtual machine in VMware vSphere.
- Attached a SCSI disk (see attached screenshot).
- During boot the disk won't recognize the SCSI disk:
+ echo The size of the local image and the free space: 0
+ echo The size of the remote image and the buffer: 17827889152
+ echo ERROR: Not enough filesystem space available
- Attaching a IDE disk to the vm leads to a normal system setup

Can you try booting with "debugshell=y"; does the disk appear in /proc/partitions, is it detected in dmesg?
Comment 3 Michel Smidt 2014-02-04 09:23:37 CET
Of course, the disk size was >18 GB during boot. Not 16GB as provided in the screenshot.

Comment 5 Michel Smidt 2014-02-04 10:34:51 CET
Bug is only reproducable if you first create a 16GB SCSI disk and expand it afterwards to 20GB.

Disk doesn't appear in /proc/partitions.
dmesg detected hd (see attached screnshot).
