Description Tim Petersen univentionstaff 2014-03-25 11:27:06 CET
As the rejoin moves /var/lib/samba to /var/lib/samba_backup<timestamp> the underlaying drivers folder and the registry.tdb which holds the definitions of printers and the driver assignments are lost.

As a result you cannot see or choose the drivers in windows anymore.

In a short test, moving the drivers folder and the registry.tdb also reveals the old behaviour and the old installed drivers appeared again.

Also once installed remote printers are installed then like before (assignment).

I didn't do more tests...perhaps there are more things saved in registry.tdb which is unwished...

I would suggest to fix this via Bug 35000.
