Univention Bugzilla – Bug 34531
initramfs: rsyslogd remote logging not working
Last modified: 2014-06-12 09:19:47 CEST
During booting rsyslogd is used for (remote) logging. Currently, There seems to be no logging from the initramfs. rsyslogd complains on tty2 that the -c option is no longer supported, so that should be removed as well.
This is working in current UCC. Here's what I got for a recently booted client: May 15 14:49:29 test2 rsyslogd: [origin software="rsyslogd" swVersion="7.4.4" x-pid="584" x-info="http://www.rsyslog.com"] start May 15 14:49:29 test2 rsyslogd: rsyslogd's groupid changed to 104 May 15 14:49:29 test2 rsyslogd: rsyslogd's userid changed to 101 May 15 14:49:29 test2 kernel: [ 65.733566] Adding 499708k swap on /dev/sda3. This seems to work for me with the changes for Bug #34863.
Verified: Works with the changes from Bug #34863
