Univention Bugzilla – Bug 34904
Package manager of the installer may operate on outdated cache
Last modified: 2014-06-12 09:20:57 CEST
The cache of the package manager may be outdated when setting up UCS@school and downloading the packages. The user gets error messages like: Failed to download ucs-school-umc-computerroom 5.0.4-1.141.201405061458 and the process is aborted. A simple package_manager.update() could prevent this error. This error is not really critical as we provide UCS@school via App Center and this repository does not change. And apt-get update runs once per hour. Still, I came across it.
May this be a problem if the UCS@school packages depend on UCS Errata (and the cache of the errata repo is outdated)?
(In reply to Sönke Schwardt-Krummrich from comment #1) > May this be a problem if the UCS@school packages depend on UCS Errata (and > the cache of the errata repo is outdated)? Yes, this should be possible (=> a problem)
Should be fixed in ucs-school-umc-installer 2.0.17-1.59.201405231120
Was not able to reproduce it with the new package. Changelog entry is present. VERIFIED
UCS@school 3.2 R2 has been released: http://docs.univention.de/release-notes-ucsschool-3.2R2-de.html If this error occurs again, please use "Clone This Bug".
