Univention Bugzilla – Bug 34911
Unable to limit share access in computerroom
Last modified: 2014-06-12 09:20:53 CEST
The computerroom module kills all samba processes that are associated with the current room's users when changes to the share settings are done. The logged in users are determined via iTALC. The mapping of samba process to samba user is done via smbstatus. The comparison between iTALC users and samba process users is done case-sensitive but in some cases the spelling of the usernames differ ("Anton1" (samba) vs. "anton1" (iTALC)). Because of this, the processes won't get killed and the user has still (no) access to some shares, until the connection between windows client and UCS server is refreshed and a new samba process is spawned.
The comparison has been fixed and is now case-insensitive. Changelog entry has been committed. ucs-school-umc-computerroom (5.0.5-1) unstable; urgency=low
