Description Stefan Gohmann univentionstaff 2014-10-11 07:31:49 CEST
If UVMM is started for the first time and in the domain is no KVM server installed, a message would be helpful. For example:

A connection to a virtualization infrastructure could not be established. You can either connect to a public or private cloud via OpenStack or EC2. Alternatively you can install a hypervisor on this or on any other UCS server in this domain.

r54556: Add dialog alert if no virtualization infrastructure is configured
Comment 2 Erik Damrose univentionstaff 2014-10-17 11:17:20 CEST
The text currently reads
"A connection to a virtualization infrastructure could not be established. You can either connect to a public or private cloud via OpenStack or EC2. Alternatively you can install a hypervisor on this or on any other UCS server in this domain."

I think we should provide more hints for the user on how to do the mentioned steps.
- provide a link/button directly to the cloud connection wizard
- provide a link/button to the app center/directly to the kvm app?
- link to the virtualization chapter in the manual
Comment 3 Andreas Peichert univentionstaff 2014-10-23 11:51:14 CEST
- Add URL to manual for no virtualization infrastructure alert
- Removed explicit reference to "Openstack and EC2" from alert dialog
