Description Sönke Schwardt-Krummrich univentionstaff 2014-10-22 17:29:23 CEST
If bug 36255 has been implemented, it should be possible to define multiple packages policies that are merged automatically. A similar mechanism is already implemented for policies/ucr. Do not implement a generic mechanism but a specific one for policies/masterpackages, policies/slavepackages and policies/memberpackages.

required steps:
- patch for univention-policy-result
  - while walking through the LDAP tree, just sum up all package lists
  - conflicts shall be ignored (package is in install and deinstall list);
    it's the task of the admin to assign "correct"
  - The design of bug 36255 and 36256 is kept: if multiple policies with
    matching LDAP filter are present, only the smallest one (alphanumeric order)
    is evaluated.

This issue has been filed against UCS 3. UCS 3 is out of the normal maintenance and many UCS components have vastly changed in UCS 4.

If this issue is still valid, please change the version to a newer UCS version otherwise this issue will be automatically closed in the next weeks.
