Univention Bugzilla – Bug 36440
UMC Setup: unclear network settings page after (mistakenly) selecting "join to AD"
Last modified: 2014-12-04 12:22:38 CET
I mistakenly selected "join to AD" during system setup (i actually wanted to join to an UCS domain). Now there is a network settings page with a small hint, that the configured DNS server is not a domaincontroller. At first, i overlooked that hint and had no idea what to do here. * Make that hint bigger, easier to find * Change the hint to "dns server is no AD (!) domaincontroller" * Add a back button * Add a hint to the page, about what is actually going on (join to an AD domain)
I would opt for an alert popup (i.e., a simple alert dialogue) with the information that one needs to revise the network settings and try again. When clicking on "OK", the network page is then shown again.
Fixed [r56072,r56070] + adjusted YAML file [r56071]. univention-system-setup (8.1.64-2): * Bug #36940: adjust method names for DNS checks, add additional check for UCS domain in check_domain() * Bug #36440: prompt DNS error message as alert dialogue
Created attachment 6473 [details] screenshot: dialog no ad under dns
OK - alert popup with helpfull information (see screenshot)
