I chose to install a UCS Backup system without joining a UCS Domain. The configured DNS server was not a UCS DC. The installation could not be pursued, as the server side validation failed (stating that the DNS server is not a UCS DC). It seems that the information not to join is not respected in the validation routine.

I think it was fixed with Bug #36940. If it is still reproducible, please reopen this bug.
