The problem is not that the dict contains an empty string.
The policy has an LDAP attribute 'univentionRepositoryCron' which is manually unmapped into multiple properties (hours, minutes, etc.).
The empty string is only because there is no mapping for the attribute so that mapping.unmap() will result in that empty string.

In univention.admin.handlers.simplePolicy.policy_result() we are missing to unmap the attributes into these properties.

This issue has been filled against UCS 4.0. The maintenance with bug and security fixes for UCS 4.0 has ended on 31st of May 2016.

Customers still on UCS 4.0 are encouraged to update to UCS 4.3. Please contact
your partner or Univention for any questions.
