Univention Bugzilla – Bug 38325
Show hint at first KDE login to login as user "Administrator"
Last modified: 2020-07-03 20:54:37 CEST
Feedback from a user: At login at KDE there is no hint about the "Administrator", but it exists for UMC. Such a hint should also be placed at KDE login. Ticket#2015042321000123. +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #37804 +++ At the following review, the tester initially did not know with which user he should login to UMC: http://linuxdenken.de/test-univention-4-0-1/ Certainly helpful would be a hint to login as user "Administrator" when visitting the UMC login for the first time.
Still valid? We have the welcome screen now. I don't know if the welcome screen is shown if KDE is installed.
Occurred again at Ticket#2017121121000725. Reported as external feedback.
I add Ticket#2017122021000521. I think the hint is essential. I testet the following use case: Setup UCS VM image with VirtualBox and install KDE. After the system setup is finished, the usual screen showing the first three steps and referring to the browser did not show up. After a restart of the appliance, the user is greeted with the KDE login. The KDE login should include the same hints as the browser login regarding the valid user name.
