Univention Bugzilla – Bug 38327
The language switcher on the German page should be named "Language"
Last modified: 2019-01-03 07:15:12 CET
Feedback at Ticket#2015042221000572: A user not speaking German that comes to the german login page finds the language switcher named "Sprache". He doesn't the meaning of that word. Shouldn't it be named "Language" instead so that he is able to switch to English? I find that feedback very reasonable and suggest to keep the label of the language switcher at "Language".
An icon would probably the best.
Btw. why does the user start with an german site? By default the language is read from the browser settings and it is english if the browser setting is not german.

I just testet it on demo.univention.de with de and en-us and it worked as expected. I close this bug with "Works for me".
Well, we should adjust it nevertheless. Patch is: sed -i "s/_('Language')/'Language'/" umc/app/LanguageSwitch.js
