Description Philipp Hahn univentionstaff 2015-11-11 10:23:01 CET
For proper functioning the DHCP server need to know the complete network topology - otherwise the DHCP server can't detect hosts moved between physical networks.
For docker the bridge "docker0" with IP 172.17.42.1/16 was added.
The dhcpd rightfully complains about that interface not being declared every time the dhcpd is started:

Nov 11 10:19:28 dc0 dhcpd: No subnet declaration for docker0 (172.17.42.1).
Nov 11 10:19:28 dc0 dhcpd: ** Ignoring requests on docker0. If this is not what
Nov 11 10:19:28 dc0 dhcpd: you want, please write a subnet declaration
Nov 11 10:19:28 dc0 dhcpd: in your dhcpd.conf file for the network segment
Nov 11 10:19:28 dc0 dhcpd: to which interface docker0 is attached. **
