Description Sönke Schwardt-Krummrich univentionstaff 2015-11-16 22:14:00 CET
The "external" method is not shown in self service password reset UI if enabled via UCR:

umc/self-service/passwordreset/external/command: /usr/bin/send_jabber
umc/self-service/passwordreset/external/enabled: yes
umc/self-service/passwordreset/external/method: xmpp
umc/self-service/passwordreset/external/method_label: Jabber
umc/self-service/passwordreset/external/token_length: <empty>
umc/self-service/passwordreset/external/udm_property: description

Looks like only the methods "email" and "sms" are checked.

After some time, the methode "Jabber" was shown in reset service. Maybe an caching issue? Please try to reproduce this.

The UMC server must be restarted for changes to those UCRs to take effect.

No. Just the module process. And there will be a new process created for each request.
Comment 4 Daniel Tröder univentionstaff 2017-04-28 11:44:51 CEST
A UMC server restart after changing UCRVs is not uncommon. The need for this could be documented.

Moved to Bug #39983.
