Univention Bugzilla – Bug 40096
Exam wizard still shows "restart needed" messages after having restarted computers
Last modified: 2023-06-12 15:39:52 CEST
The exam creation wizard asks the user to restart the participating computers at the end of the creation. However, the "restart needed" message does not disappear, no matter how many times one restarts the machines.
How did you restart the client machines? Manually or via UMC module? http://docs.software-univention.de/ucsschool-lehrer-handbuch-4.0R2.html#lehrerdoku:klassenarbeit:neustart Short explanation: Currently the UMC module has no chance to determine if the client machine is in normal mode or in exam mode. To switch between the two modes, a reboot of the client machine is required.

To switch between the two modes, a reboot of > the client machine is required. I restarted the client machines via the button in the UMC exam creation wizard. The "restart needed" message disappeared when they were offline and once someone logged in on the restarted machine, it reappeared.
