If installing a release update and after that (without reloading UMC) all package updates, the log view opens but no log file is displayed. Instead only a tiny grey box is shown.

TypeError: this.contentNode is undefined

can be found in the Firefox logs, but I don't know if this relates to the problem.

I fixed this in Bug #43520 svn r78561:
    Bug #43520: fix a bug where the log view didn't show any content because
    it didn't reset the start position and the updater.log file was rotated in between
