Appcenter doesn't install app if deb:cdrom in sources.list but shows success
Last modified: 2019-01-03 07:18:14 CET
Currently on my system the appcenter does not install the cups printserver app: 23.09.16 15:20:42.347 MODULE ( PROCESS ) : Removing localhost from LDAP object 23.09.16 15:20:42.945 MODULE ( PROCESS ) : Removing localhost from LDAP object 23.09.16 15:20:42.981 MODULE ( PROCESS ) : Removing localhost from LDAP object 23.09.16 15:20:43.013 MODULE ( PROCESS ) : Registering UCR for ucsschool 23.09.16 15:20:43.013 MODULE ( PROCESS ) : Marking ucsschool=4.1 R2 v4 as installed 23.09.16 15:20:43.031 MODULE ( PROCESS ) : Adding localhost to LDAP object 23.09.16 15:20:53.395 MODULE ( PROCESS ) : Try to install (install) cups on xen7. Installed all latest errata updates. Afterwards I still had these entries: -------------------------------------- root@xen7:~# cat /etc/apt/sources.list # # deb cdrom:[UCS GNU/Linux 4.1-3 _Ucs413_ - Official Release amd64 DVD Binary-1 20160809-09:34]/ ucs413 main deb cdrom:[UCS GNU/Linux 4.1-3 _Ucs413_ - Official Release amd64 DVD Binary-1 20160809-09:34]/ ucs413 main ------------------------------------- I could install the app if I remove these entries. (Why weren't they removed after the installation?) The worst thing here is that the appcenter afterwards doesn't even show an error message.
Is it reproducible?
(In reply to Stefan Gohmann from comment #1) > Is it reproducible? What exactly? That the sources list is corrupted or that the appcenter doesn't work if the sources list is corrupted? I will test Tuesday what happens with: echo "deb cdrom:[UCS GNU/Linux 4.1-3 _Ucs413_ - Official Release amd64 DVD Binary-1 20160809-09:34]/ ucs413 main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list
