we had rare occurances in supportcases, where the server-role is uninstalled during the update. The last occurance is tagged at this bug-entry (we have documentation what was uninstalled during the update at the ticket).

Is it possible to perform a pre-update-check which stops the update if essential packages are going to be uninstalled (such as server-role)?
