Description Ingo Steuwer univentionstaff 2016-12-12 08:43:53 CET
I didn't found any documentation about how to introduce active directory "sites" with UCS.

AFAIR:
* installation of first Samba DC (usually UCS DC Master) will create the default site
* installation of DC Slave which should have an individual site should be done without Samba DC, afterwards UCS "samba4/join/site" is to be set to the name of the AD site, then one can install the "Samba DC" using the App Center. While running the join scripts the site is created and the DC Slave will be located in that site
* assigning of client IP networks needs to be done manually using standard Windows Tools afterwards

You can also create sites and re-assign DCs to them any time later using the windows tools.

I was also a bit surprised that there is no mention of the UCRV "samba4/join/site" beside a blog post and the 3.2 release notes.
While searching for related informations I found https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Active_Directory_Sites
