We may want to update Heimdal to version 7.1 (currently in stretch) to stay compatible with Samba builtin Heimdal and to have better security coverage.


Note: There is some interaction between Samba and Heimdal development, e.g.:

That last commit is now in Heimdal 7.x, no clue why Samba reverted that fix from their internal fork.

Has been fixed by release of UCS 4.3.
