hamburger

I do not really know how to decribe my confusion.
The menu button (hamburger button?) changes to an arrow hovering with the mouse over it. → Why?

Inside the menu, logged in as administrator, an "x" is shown on the right. My first intension was to logout this way, but hovering over the x, an arrow is shown to close the menu. This is confusing. I neither expect the "x" nor the arrow in the overview to access the menu.
