Univention Bugzilla – Bug 44676
rpcbind: Multiple issues (4.1)
Last modified: 2019-04-11 19:23:16 CEST
Upstream Debian package version 0.2.0-8+deb7u2 fixes this issue: * rpcbind does not consider the maximum RPC data size during memory allocation for XDR strings, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption with no subsequent free) via a crafted UDP packet to port 111, aka rpcbomb. (CVE-2017-8779)
