When trying to upload the printer driver for Xerox Phaser 7500DN via the windows print server tool, i get 

  Ein Treiber Xerox Phaser 7500DN, Typ3, Benutzermodus, x64 konnte nicht
  installiert werden. Das für das Drucktreiberpaket erforderliche
  Haupttreiberpaket wurde nicht gefunden.

Local installation of the driver works.

First, we should check what a windows print server says.

This error message has been reported a couple of times online, independent of Samba:

Samba just knows the error code:

I assume the driver is too old (2009). The recent "Xerox Global Print Driver" packages, which the Xerox website advertises as "Package-Aware" and "V3 Driver", can be uploaded normally:
