For various use cases (e.g. GPOs, profiles, printing) it is very useful to have a DNS-Alias "schulserver" on every ucs@school slave which point to the local school slave.
The docs ([1]) already describe the procedure but this is laborious and error-prone because it doens't describe the troubleshooting if the wrong static IP is already synced. Furthermore it doesn't describe that the UCR-Variable samba/netbios/aliases=schulserver has to be set as well.
So, from my perspective it would be very useful to have this in the product.
