Univention Bugzilla – Bug 46542
ntp not running after update (of old systems)
Last modified: 2018-03-14 14:37:54 CET
see http://jenkins.knut.univention.de:8080/job/UCS-4.3/job/UCS-4.3-0/job/Update%20Tests/test_system=update-from-1.2/ we also hit the problem after updating our master
Seems that prior to 4.3 /etc/init.d/ntp was a template, now with 4.3 it is no longer a template and this confuses apt-get during the update so that we always end up with the 4.2 /etc/init.d/ntp.debian as /etc/init.d/ntp and the new 4.3 init script as /etc/init.d/ntp.dpkg-new after the update. Additionally, on very old systems, the run level link is missing. univention-updater -> postup.sh ce501134441a14272f59c20787e716fcd046cf30 * ensure 4.3 /etc/init.d/ntp is used * ensure runlevel links for ntp
This message was shown on my basesystem: md5sum: '/etc/init.d/ntp*': Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
