Univention Bugzilla – Bug 49856
univention-java not installable on UCS 4.4-1
Last modified: 2019-07-17 16:33:15 CEST
With UCS 4.4-1 we imported several debian package updates. One of them was icedtea-web That package used to build into several binary packages, but the latest update does not provide icedtea-8-plugin anymore. Upstream comment was: "Stop building the browser plugin, no longer works with Firefox 60" [1] Now univention-java cannot be installed on UCS 4.4-1, because it depends on icedtea-plugin (which is provided by icedtea-8-plugin). There is a version incompatibility: icedtea-8-plugin : Hängt ab von: icedtea-netx (= 1.6.2-3.1) aber 1.6.2-3.1+deb9u1 soll installiert werden One consequence is that the OX App Suite cannot be installed on UCS 4.4-1 [1] https://metadata.ftp-master.debian.org/changelogs//main/i/icedtea-web/icedtea-web_1.6.2-3.1+deb9u1_changelog
Fixed in univention-java by not depending on icedtea-plugin anymore. univention-java 11.0.1-1
Built directly in ucs_4.4-1 (not errata scope). Otherwise the update may uninstall OX, which happens to depend on univention-java.
OK: Installation on 4.4-1 of oxseforucs OK: Update of UCS 4.4-0 -> 4.4-1 with installed oxseforucs OK: production mirror updated ~ From our point of view no new installation media or images are required. Once UCS role installation is done, the online repository gets activated, which from 19:10 CEST on containes the correct univention-java package. Verified
UCS 4.4-1 has been released.
