Description Michael Grandjean univentionstaff 2019-08-12 13:57:40 CEST
In some scenarios it's necessary (due to security/compliance policies) to assign a physical network interface directly and exclusively to a single VM. For example if we need to run a VM as router or firewall with separate network zones.

AFAIK this can be achieved with the "PCI Passthrough" feature, which is described and recommended by some firewall manufacturers:
https://www.juniper.net/documentation/en_US/vsrx/topics/task/configuration/security-vsrx-kvm-add-pci-passthrough.html

It would be nice if this could also be done via the UVMM UMC module.
