Univention Bugzilla – Bug 50036
Log entry whats going on, while running 98univention-samba4-dns.inst
Last modified: 2021-12-16 10:45:50 CET
Running the joinscript 98univention-samba4-dns.inst runs for a quite long time. (In a school environment on a school-slave about over more than an hour) This is quite confusing because there is no log entry in the logfile, whats going on right now. join.log: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Object modified: uid=dns-ucs-slave,cn=users,dc=schein,dc=me looking for spn account "dns-ucs-slave" in local samba Modified 1 records successfully Added 1 records successfully Expiry for user 'dns-ucs-slave' disabled. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looking via ps afx |grep join you can see .... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19864 pts/3 Ss 0:00 | \_ -bash 21160 pts/3 S+ 0:00 | \_ /bin/bash /usr/sbin/univention-run-join-scripts 30254 pts/3 S+ 0:00 | \_ /bin/bash /usr/lib/univention-install/98univention-samba4-dns.inst --binddn uid=Administrator,cn=users,dc=schein,dc=me --bindpwdfile /tmp/tmp.SYBf8OiOMX 30481 pts/3 R+ 24:20 | \_ /usr/bin/python2.7 /usr/bin/samba-tool ntacl sysvolreset --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ...sysvolreset is running and takes that much time. If this is necessary to run this, we should show a log entry, what the joinscript is doing.
