Description Daniel Duchon univentionstaff 2021-10-14 12:04:54 CEST
After switching from iTalc to Veyon, there is a delay in image transfer on a teacher PC in presentation mode.

This delay does not exist on client computers.

Another customer is facing the same issue, but now on all clients

I am not quite sure it is the same issue, but my customer reported, that it takes sometime, up to 5 minutes, to get the changes on the other screen become visible.

For the customer it is not usable.
But afaik this is not limited to the teachers PC.

This could *potentially* be a symptom of the same problem with the Veyon proxy server described in Bug #53558

Basically the session handling in the current veyon proxy server is suboptimal and produces timeouts and delays with increasing number of clients.

Reproducing this bug is quite hard. For my initial manual tests with a small group of VMs, I couldn't notice any delays. I am going to set up a larger environment for the next test. It would be very helpful though, if meanwhile we could sort out any hardware possibilities for this problem (e.g. that it's not caused by the beamer etc.).
