Description Dirk Ahrnke univentionstaff 2022-02-04 14:09:22 CET
UMC in UCS 4 showed the hostname of the current UCS-system in the burger menu.
This was removed in UCS 5.

Especially when working with "system modules" like "system diagnostics" or "Software update" one has to be 100% sure about the system which is currently about to be administered or looked at and can not just rely on the hostname that is used to establish the browser session.

The hostname should also be part of the HTML <title>!
Comment 3 Erik Damrose univentionstaff 2022-10-21 10:35:52 CEST
Some project had a requirement that the hostname is not shown in the portal / html title which was solved with js hooks in UCS 4, we should provide a configuration option.

Customer used to display the hostname with the placeholder {hostname} especially on the portals of the school/edu servers.
