Description Nico Gulden univentionstaff 2022-03-11 12:19:21 CET
The UCS manual gives a recommendation about the definition of usernames and group names. In UCS there are a lot of names and they all have different syntax and constraints.

For the audience of system engineers and experienced administrators we should document those constraints in a dedicated knowledge base article.

Recommendations see: https://forge.univention.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=54522

Information about the 20 character length limit see https://forge.univention.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=47222

The information is spread in different resources and needs to be collected in one place.
