user attempting to update profile with self-serve cannot authenticate.

First attempt to edit profile shows:
An error occurred
2 error(s) occurred

/var/log/syslog 
Aug  1 09:15:25 ucs1 python3: saml_msg is too small: minlength = 128
Aug  1 09:15:29 ucs1 python3: saml_msg is too small: minlength = 128



2nd attempt to authenticate:
An error occurred
Either username or password is incorrect or you are not allowed to use this service.


no other log details that I could find.

the same error occours when a user tries to update recovery options from the portal
"USER SETTINGS / Protect your account"  

authentication fails:

We need more information to verify if this is a bug:
* UCS version
* the configuration/UCR variables set up for the self service
* the user and his groups which is trying to update his profile
* Log entries from /var/log/univention/management-console-module-passwordreset.log
